Make hay whilst the sun shines, it’s what we farmers do. Not always as easy as it sounds, and often means long days, late nights and weather watching worries. At Garslade, we cut our organic meadow grass in June and July, then make it into bales to store until winter for our sheep flock. Nothing smells more like summer than freshly baled hay.
